Maintenance Schedule for Roll Formers

Below is a basic maintenance schedule all roll-forming machine owners are encouraged to follow. 

Daily Maintenance
Items that should be checked or maintained on a daily basis:
q Visually check to make sure the tooling is not touching each other by using a mirror
q Lubricate the roll-forming tooling
q Check hydraulic and pneumatic systems for leaks
q Service pneumatic system; drain water from traps and reservoirs
q Check lubricator level on pneumatic system
q Visually inspect shaft nuts
q Check all pneumatic components for proper function and settings

Weekly Maintenance
Items that should be checked or maintained on a weekly basis:
q Check hydraulic and oil levels on all items
q Lubricate all chains on equipment

Monthly Maintenance
Items that should be checked or
maintained on a monthly basis:
q Grease bearings
q Check shear blades
q Check chain tension
q Check encoder to sheet tension
q Check belt roller tension

Annual Maintenance
Items that should be checked or maintained on a yearly basis:
q Change gearbox oil
q Change hydraulic oil
q Check infeed rolls and drive rolls
